A Walk on the Wild Side for your Mouth
When traveling through a place like Mexico City, any traveler will be tempted by the aroma of fresh tortillas, tacos of any flavor and of order the infamous quesadilla – with cheese. They’re Travelers who are adventurous and those who like to stick closer to the beaten path. And if you’re like me, you’ll want to Adventure a little bit with your taste buds.
On the corner of Izazaga and Bolívar, just outside of Centro Histórico your adventure awaits. Just after Sundown a red tarp is erected on the corner of the building that used to be a bank, and now is a clothing store, and soon will be some form of Pharmacy. Things are always changing and Center East article, but the red tarp ladies are a constant.
Of course you can order the standard quesadilla and taco. So it is friendly for those who are not quite as adventurous as you. But there’s also the quesadilla de flor de calabaza. You can try the huitlacoche quesadilla. And if you want a little tingle on your tongue, go for the pambazo.

Cuando Viajamos a un lugar como Ciudad de México, cualquier aventurero será tentado por el aroma de las tortillas hechas a mano, tacos y otros sabores que ofrece las infames quesadillas – con queso. Existen quienes se aventuran a probar estos sabores y quienes prefieren apegarse a lo que ya conocen. Si tu eres como nosotros, querras aventurarte un poco con tus papilas gustativas.
En la esquina de Izazaga y Bolívar, a las afueras de Centro Histórico, su aventura les espera. Justo después de Sundown, se erige una lona roja en la esquina del edificio que solía ser un banco, y ahora es una tienda de ropa, y pronto habrá algún tipo de farmacia. Las cosas siempre están cambiando, pero las damas que trabajan en la lona roja son una constante.
Por supuesto que puedes pedir una quesadilla y taco normales. Siendo amigable para aquellos que no son tan aventureros como usted. Pero también está la quesadilla de flor de calabaza, la quesadilla de huitlacoche. Y si quieres un poco de cosquilleo en tu lengua, ve por el pambazo.
